Do you love Yin Yoga? Do you want to expand your knowledge to deepen your personal practice?

Maybe you have been searching for an interesting retreat but haven’t found one yet. Or perhaps you are a certified yoga teacher and want to add Yin yoga to your teaching toolbox.

We have developed this particular training for yoga teachers and students alike. As Yin yoga fanatics ourselves, we really wanted to share the experience with as many people as possible and decided to create a course that appeals to practitioners of all levels and interests. The course is registered with Yoga Alliance US and Yoga Alliance® International and run by our team of experienced teachers.

Our 50-hour Yin yoga training is the training for you if you…

  • are looking to deepen your own Yin practice
  • can’t wait to share the tremendous benefits of Yin yoga with others

  • want to add to your skills and experiences as a yoga teacher
  • are interested in staying on top of the latest developments in yoga
  • could easily immerse yourself in a week filled with Yin (three whole weekends if you're looking at the online version!)
  • are searching for a training that feels like a holiday at the same time (gosh... hard to pretend that's a valid argument if you are doing it online from home)
  • think Bali sounds like a good place to collect your continuing education points (well, at this stage maybe online is better - unless you live in Bali!)

Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Whatever your objective or previous experience is, our Yin yoga teacher training is aimed at giving you a solid base regarding everything this practice is about. We discuss the core objectives of the style, the history and philosophy behind the practice and the anatomy specific to Yin. This includes the energy body in different traditions, the variety of Yin poses, sequencing and teaching.

To make it all come together we practice lots, mainly Yin yoga, but also some more Yang styles for the much needed balance. Through these classes and practices we hope to inspire you and give you ideas on how to put a class together for yourself, your friends or your students.

Our in-person training is a program of eight consecutive days. We chose to give you more days than the average Yin training, so that you have ample time to assimilate and practice what you learn. We currently run it on the grounds of Kelapa Cottage, Amed in Bali. This beautiful family-run resort is located on the east coast of the island, away from the crowded tourist areas. The schedule allows you to relax by the pool or hop into the village during breaks.

Our online training is divided over three consecutive weekends. This allows you to do the training from home without interfering with work or weekly commitments. The lectures and classes are conducted via Zoom by teachers based in Bali and Adelaide. Though you could technically join us from anywhere in the world, the course is only provided real-time online. We do not record the sessions. Therefore, your attendance is mandatory in order to receive the certificate of completion. Personal interaction is one of the main aspects of our teaching principles. We do not feel comfortable extending certificates to students we do not know. Even in these unprecedented times, we do no compromise or sacrifice this principle.

“I loved every minute of the Teacher training with Yoga Here & There. The teachers are passionate, professional and supportive. The shala and the hotel are situated beautifully in the jungle and yet very close to the village.”
